PLACED is a european research project, which brings together four universities across Europe (Chalmers in Sweden, Aarhus in Denmark, Lyon 1 and Enssib in France), as well as three local libraries (BM Lyon, Lundby in Gothenburg and Dokk1 in Aarhus).

PLACED also benefits from a european co-funding ( ERA-NET Cofund Smart Urban Futures). The European Union takes over 33% of the general funding, the reminder being provided by national agencies.
