Our paper, accepted in february, was published in the extended abstracts of the 2018 CHI Conference.
This Conference about human factors in computing systems had for theme this year "Engage" and took place in Montréal. The PlacedProject team presented a paper entitled : "PARTICIPATE: capturing knowledge in public library activities". It was written by Carla Gröschel from the University of Konstanz of Germany, Peter Dalsgaard, Clemens N. Klokmose, Henrik Korsgaard from the Aarhus University of Denmark, Eva Eriksson from the Aarhus University and the Chalmers University of Technology of Denmark, Raphaëlle Bats from the ENSSIB of France, Aurélien Tabard from the University of Lyon in France, Alix Ducros from the CNRS of France and by Sofia E. Serholt from the Chalmers University of Technology of Gothenburg, Sweden.
This paper presents one of our two prototypes, "Partcipate", and is based on a survey in three european libraries : Dokk 1, the Aarhus University Library, the Lundby Public Library of Gothenburg and the Lyon Public Library, which are partners of the PlacedProject. It questions the role of participative activities in libraries and how they can be part of the collections.
