Anya Ernest at ServDes 2018

ServDes, standing for Service Design and Innovation, is a bi-annual international conference with the aim of "bringing researchers and practitioners together to discuss, share and evolve the emerging discipline of Service Design, and design-related service innovation."

Our partner Anya Ernest, from Chalmers University (Sweden), works as a service designer and attended this year's ServDes edition, hapenning in Milano from  from June 18th to 20th. Anya is familiar with this academic conference, as she  presented her own paper on "Exploring the pupil-student transition through customer journeys" two years ago. This time, she has come to enjoy some papers and talks about "Experiencing and Shaping", looking at co-creation in designing spaces.

She was able to take part in discussions about various topics, from reflexion about politic leadership to questionning designer's impact and responsabilities on the world, and of course talking over the evolution of design constructs, like moving from human centered design to designing human or designing for the individual instead of focusing on personas.
